Crying: it's not just for wet, hungry babies anymore.

I got this from a co-worker today after I told him I'm leaving the company for a new position:

"I will definitely keep in contact with you. You are a beautiful person, both professionally and personally."

I said this was a bittersweet departure, didn't I?

I love it when people write heartfelt messages like that, instead of the "Good luck in your new job!!!!" junk.

I know that leaving is bittersweet, especially when you get nice notes like that.

Me? I usually get the "don't let the door hit ya, babe" notes.

OK- I'm lying (and apparently rambling again). The thought just struck me funny.

Before you leave, it would be nice to return all the office supply binder clips that somehow found their way to your pantry to spend life in the dark, clasping closed half-empty potato chip bags.
