I'm just sitting here, working away, minding my Corporate America business and it just popped in my head that if given the choice I'd rather be in a room full of corpses than in a room with someone that was choking, bleeding profusely or otherwise inching towards death.
Good thing I didn't pursue a gig in the medical field I guess.

This thought occurred before or after you read the flyer about free tennis lessons?
Wow, if that is your criteria for choosing careers, I suppose I could have gone into the medical field.
Oh wait. In a very roundabout way, I did.
On some days, a room full of corpses would be a pleasure to work with. Quiet, no demands, no whining....
Yikes, that's basically my life as a Hospice volunteer. ;)
(although I have seen a few corpses in my time spent there...)
I completely agree. It totally takes the pressure off when a person has finished dying, as opposed to when they're still somewhere in the process and you, as a decent human being, might be expected to actually DO something about it. Corpses are so easy to get along with.
